Festivities

The municipality of Algorfa has various traditional festivities throughout the year. Amongst the most outstanding are the festivities in honour of San Vicente Ferrer in April, as well as the celebrations in honour of the Virgen del Carmen in July, which are considered the patron saint festivities of the municipality.

In addition, the people of Algorfa have formed various clubs which organise a variety of festive events throughout the year. In May, the Primavera Cultural is held, while in September the Feria Gastronómica (Gastronomic Fair) takes place.

In August, European residents also celebrate their own festivities in Lo Crispin and Montebello.

Other important traditions are also held in Algorfa, such as the Rosary of the Dawn in October, the Stations of the Cross during Holy Week and the Living Nativity Scene at Christmas.
